Each rate is measured against the step before it. Delivery is a share of sent, read is a share of delivered. Failed messages are never counted as sent. Numbers update live while the campaign sends, without refreshing the page.
Metric | Definition |
|---|---|
Messages sent | Accepted by WhatsApp, failed messages excluded. Shown as N of total recipients. |
Delivered (delivery %) | Delivered ÷ sent |
Read (read %) | Read ÷ delivered. Recipients who turned off read receipts never count as read. |
Responded (response %) | Tapped a quick-reply button ÷ delivered |
Failed | Rejected by WhatsApp, or skipped (blocked, opted out, missing value, and so on) |
Progress | Share of recipients that are finished. Reaches 100% and shows Finished when done. |

The overview list shows the same delivery rate. Hover over it to see delivered, sent, failed and total recipients. The detail page splits the audience into Responded, Read (no action), Delivered (not read), Pending at WhatsApp, Failed and Not sent.
Responded only covers quick-reply buttons
WhatsApp does not report taps on website or call buttons, so these cannot be tracked. For templates without quick-reply buttons, the Responded tile is hidden.
Results keep changing after sending
Delivery and read receipts often arrive late. For 24 hours after the campaign finishes the numbers keep updating. After that the page shows Final results.
Quality rating (Meta channels)
The detail page shows your number's WhatsApp quality rating: high, medium, low or not rated yet, with advice. It is the same rating WhatsApp Manager shows.
Download report
When a campaign is Sent, Cancelled or Failed, you can download a CSV report with one row per recipient: number, contact, status, reason, audience source, and the sent, delivered, read, failed and clicked times. There is no on-screen list of individual recipients; the report is the way to see them.
Data retention
If your workspace has a data retention period, per-recipient detail is deleted once a finished campaign is older than that period. The campaign and its final totals stay, but the audience breakdown and the report are no longer available.
