How to Manage Notifications in Saysimple
Notifications help you stay on top of new customer conversations and updates without constantly checking your inbox. In Saysimple, you can choose which events trigger browser (push) notifications and email notifications, allowing you to customize your notification preferences to suit your workflow.
This article explains how to configure your notification settings and what each notification type means.
How to Configure Your Notifications
To manage your notification preferences:
Click your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner of Saysimple.
Select Notifications.
From this page, you can enable or disable Push notifications and Email notifications for each notification type.
Note: Changes to your notification settings may take up to 15 minutes to take effect.
Notification Types
You can choose whether to receive Push notifications, Email notifications, or both for each of the following events.
Notification | Description |
|---|---|
New conversation | Receive a notification when a new conversation arrives that has not yet been assigned to anyone. |
Conversation assigned | Receive a notification when another user assigns a conversation to you. |
New message in a conversation assigned to you | Receive a notification when a customer replies to a conversation that is currently assigned to you. |
New message in an unassigned conversation | Receive a notification when a customer sends a new message in an unassigned conversation. |
Push Notifications
Push notifications appear on your desktop or browser, even when you're working in another browser tab.
Push notifications help your team respond quickly to new conversations and customer replies without constantly monitoring the inbox.
To receive push notifications:
Enable Push notifications for the desired notification types.
Allow browser notifications when prompted.
Ensure your browser has permission to display notifications for Saysimple.
If browser notifications have been blocked, you'll see a warning message at the top of the page explaining that permission must be enabled in your browser.
Email Notifications
Email notifications are sent to the email address associated with your Saysimple user profile.
You can enable email notifications independently from push notifications, allowing you to receive updates even when you're not logged into Saysimple.
Browser Tab Notifications
Even if push notifications are disabled, Saysimple displays a notification badge in your browser tab.
The number shown represents the number of new conversations waiting in your inbox, making it easy to see when customer interactions require attention.
Re-register Your Device
If you're no longer receiving push notifications on your current device, you may need to re-register it.
At the bottom of the Notifications page, click Re-register this device.
This rebuilds your browser's notification subscription and often resolves notification delivery issues after:
Changing browsers
Clearing browser data or cookies
Updating your browser
Using a new computer or device
